Matthayomwatnairong School first opened in 1955. The school has been royally awarded “The outstanding Secondary School” in the year 1983 and 1993. The school has also been chosen as the “The school of outstanding reform” in the year 2001. As of the moment the school has 3 programs:
| English Program | This program uses English as its medium of instruction in every subject except in Thai Language subject and others involving Art and Thai culture. |
| Mini English Program | This program uses English as its medium of instruction in 3 subject areas: English, Mathematics, and Science. |
| Intensive Program | This program uses Thai as its medium of instruction in every subject except in subject involving other Languages. |

Classes are small-sized. There are no more than 30 students in each class so all students are well cared of. The school also provides Parental Teacher Program so that students can be closely advised. For teaching and learning development, the school provides supplementary courses for slow learners in the last period of the school day and provides tutorial courses for good students every Saturday.
The school also focuses on implementing activities to let students have an opportunity to show their knowledge and ability in various ways. However, the school is being developed especially on learning resources and other technology in order that students can search for knowledge all their life.
